Leadership Team
Every church is different. Much of that difference has to do with the people who lead it and the people (like you) who call it 'home.
Our current leadership team includes:
TODD CANTELON: Founding/Preaching Pastor/Elder

Todd Cantelon is founding pastor at THE WELL. He and his wife Nicole have been married thirteen years and, as you can see by the picture, have been pretty busy during that time bringing (L-R) Sarah, Sam, Zoe and Jordan into the World. Previously (2000-2006) Todd and Nicole planted Freechurch Toronto and before that started a 'youth church' in an Anglican context (1994-1998). Nicole is a certified fitness instructor and homeschools the kids while Todd works as a producer in film and television in addition to his role with THE WELL.
MIKE DYMENT: Associate Pastor

As of fall 2010 Mike Dyment (pictured with his wife Jessica), who has served faithfully as Worship Leader and Pastoral Assistant at THE WELL since our initial launch, will be transitioning to more of a focus on the latter part of that portfolio. Specifically Mike will be tasked with 'making things happen' focused on being the point-man overseeing all the practicalities of the various facets of THE WELL's group ministries. This means when it comes to our Sunday services, weekly Bible Study, various events and management of all the steps (from vendors, to permits, to wrangling volunteers) needed for THE WELL to mount *any* ministry event in the City of Burlington, Mike's our man. He has been part of Todd and Niki's ministry work since he was 12 (way back in 1994). He has a MTS from Wycliffe Theological Seminary. Jessica, along with Niki Cantelon, will continue to provide leadership to our WellKids ministry as well as helping Mike with *crafting* THE WELL's ministry 'events' into actual *environments* where our peers can encounter the Living Presence of God, for God's glory, our joy and the good of all people.
MARK JURGENS: People's Pastor

Mark Jurgens (pictured with his wife Barbara) was an early member of Todd & Niki's first church plant back in 2001. Working as a graphic designer at the time, Mark's passion for Missions, travel, people, leadership development and the 'road less travelled' led him to some hair-raising travels and a new career in Education. Having joined THE WELL early in it's life in 2009 Mark and Barbara soon began spending a lot of time with both Todd and Niki and Mike and Jessica. Before too long Mark began feeling, again, the call of God on his life. In conversation with Barb, Mark decided to begin his Masters of Theological Studies at McMaster Divinity School in the fall of 2010 with an eye to joining the team at THE WELL with a focus on Pastoral Care, Leadership Development and Overseas Missions. Truly gifted with people, Mark will begin sharing much of the load of meeting with our people Pastorally and finding practical ways to see them equipped for the work of the ministry, as Scripture teaches. Barbara will continue her work as an ER nurse at Jo Brant Memorial Hospital while running this exciting new race with Mark.
CHRIS JONES: Vice President

Chris Jones, pictured with his wife Catherine, is an officer at THE WELL. This means that in the time it will take for us to surface Biblically qualified Elders at THE WELL (two to three years at least) Chris will act as Vice President of our charitable corporation to help steward and guide us from a strategic standpoint. Chris is currently project manager for a large housing development in Niagara-on-the-lake and President of '24-7 Prayer Canada'. Chris has an extensive Pastoral ministry background in addition to his strong business and entrepreneurial skills.
TORE STAUTLAND: Vice President

Tore Stautland, pictured with his wife Julie and their two girls (L-R) Trinity and Mercedes, is an officer at THE WELL. While we wait for God to surface Biblically qualified Elders Tore will act as a second Vice President of our charitable corporation. Tore will particularly be of assistance with the financial side of things as his background as a very successful businessman is well suited to that side of things. Tore has an extensive ministry background as an Elder, youth minister, and third world social justice advocate. Tore and Todd have worked in partnership on the media side of things for ten years.
THE WELL is an independent non-denominational church and is self-governed according to Canadian law. Our Pastor is Ordained with 'The Canadian Fellowship of Christian Ministers' (CFCM) an inter-denominational association of 400 Churches spread across Canada.
