Getting closer...
Two weeks from tonight we'll be processing how our first Sunday went.
Next week (Sunday September 6th) Todd, Nicole and their kids will be at our new location, 'doing church' as a family, with some Bible reading, some prayer and some 'catch' and 'tag' playing. We'll get there at 10:15am. If you'd like to join us, you're more than welcome.
After following the map links below, just look for the couple with four kids, a blanket and a Bible.

Sunday September 13th at 10:30am, THE WELL will hold its first Sunday morning service at the Burlington Music Centre.
(just zoom in until 'A' is clear. 'A' is the Burlington Central Hockey Arena. The Music Center is across the street)

That Sunday we will start a three-week sermon series called:
CHURCH.

Week 1/Sep 13th, 2009
Sermon Title--> "It's not about you..."
Sermon Passage--> Galatians 1:1-5
Sermon Theme--> the root of the church is Jesus. Nothing we can come up with will bring grace and peace into our lives like Jesus will. The church exists 'for' Jesus and Jesus came into the story of humanity 'for' you. That's the best news I've heard all week.
Week 2/Sep 20th, 2009
Sermon Title--> "It's not what you do..."
Sermon Passage--> Galatians 1:6-10
Sermon Theme--> So many of us are confused when it comes to what Christianity actually is. You say 'church' and most people think not so happy thoughts. You say 'Christian' and most people think someone who defines themselves by the bad things they don't do. This week we'll explore the fact that Christianity, and its petri dish the church, has nothing to do with pleasing other people and everything to do with loving Jesus.
Week 3/Sep 27th, 2009
Sermon Title--> "It's all about Jesus..."
Sermon Passage--> Galatians 2:11-21
Sermon Theme--> Christianity is about living in-step with 'the Gospel' (aka: the story of Jesus). Being a Christian has nothing to do with 'keeping up appearances' or trying to 'do your best'. Christianity is about surrendering your life to Jesus so that He can give it back to you someday primed to last forever.
