Good times...

How could you be grumpy?
It's CHRISTMASTIME in our city and at THE WELL.
Plus we officially cracked the '50 person barrier' today.
We realize it's just a number and not a very impressive one at that but considering that most churches take four years to pass 100 people in regular attendance and THE WELL has been in existence for 13 WEEKS, we're feeling pretty stoked and grateful.
The thing with numbers (giving, attendance, conversions, small groups etc...) is that each number somehow represents--or connects to--a real live person on the other end; a person whose life is ideally being impacted by Jesus as they interact with our church.
FIFTY PEOPLE in thirteen weeks.
Pretty cool.
And, most importantly, those 50 have come through relationship. We've done ZERO marketing ('cause we can't afford it) so far, which means, that every single person who's come to THE WELL is there only because SOMEBODY invited them.
And that takes courage.
It's our hope that--as Jesus continues to inspire and lead you--the courage it's taking to invite people from your life to check things out at THE WELL is paid off in spades with changed lives and--over time--a changed city.
'Cause a city full of people who loved Jesus would be doing a lot more dancing.
(and, yes, there are right about 50 people--with a couple hidden behind the dancer--in that shot up there watching that there dancing dude in that there city...)
See you TUESDAY for a run.
See you SUNDAY for week 2 ('A Promise of Peace') in our CHRISTMASTIME series.
Love you.
