For as long as there's a 'Canada' those Cherubim will kneel over that book at the heart of our houses of parliament.
Looks kinda' like the Ark of the Covenant don't it?
Probably on purpose.
Funny that, in this increasingly secular-humanist/pluralist nation of ours, when faced with death and memory we still craft angels.
Angels.
Who, if you believe the stories, surround not a book full of names of dead soldiers but a THRONE on which sits the King to whom they sing day and night...
"Holy, holy, holy...is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come..."
Angels.
