Summer months...

faith

Summertime is coming.

You can feel it in the air and in people's demeanor. Folks just seem a little more 'up' than has been the case through our, relatively mild, but still dark and dreary winter.

We had friends over last weekend and everyone kept looking at the trees springing to life all around us, taking in deep breaths of the freshening air, and exclaiming; "Man, it's so nice to see the World coming back to life again..."

I agree.

This, by the way, is why you plant churches. To provide a context in which people can begin coming 'back' to life as Jesus draws them to Himself through His involvement with and in the various 'things' that community of faith 'does'.

Things like worshipping, preaching, getting together, training, mentoring, mobilizing and the list goes on.

Thought I'd remind myself and you to watch for those signs of life in your spiritual life. Spring/Summer, by virtue of how nice the World is and how short the season is, tends to be a quiet time in the life of any church, especially a new one like ours, but that doesn't mean that you should stop growing and thriving.

I hope you see Jesus at work in your 'summery everyday' in new ways this season as a result of what He's been doing in you, at THE WELL, throughout the past several, wintry, months.

Enjoying the Sun with you...
