Signs of better times...
We left church on Sunday and went here...

Bronte Harbour.
And we sailed our boat.
We were exceedingly grateful. One, because to be sailing a boat at 'our' harbour is a thing we've dreamed of and pursued for many, many, years; two, because our service at THE WELL was so sweet this week.
Niki and I have been finding things a bit tough the last six weeks. Mostly it's due to the 'summer slump.' People are away so crowds are small. People are away and our church is young so giving is sporadic and very humble. There are continued programming and tech hiccups to endure which makes us feel like we're 'bush league' church planters planting a 'bush league' church.
Very depressing.
So we've been fighting to just be simply faithful, praying (a lot) that Jesus would do His thing and grow this church according to His will.
Simple obedience.
So, for the last two weeks (in our estimation) to have really 'clicked' (it was just 'church' the way we 'like' to do it...) was SO great.
Those two factors (two sweet sundays in a row and a boat to go to after) moved us to deep gratitude.
Jesus is good. We're very thankful. You (those of you who've been coming out to help us build THE WELL over the last eight months) are beginning to get to us, you know. We're starting to care about you, starting to really notice the undulations in your spiritual growth and trajectory. We're starting to pray for you, starting to feel genuine affection for you.
These are good signs.
Means a *real* church is starting to take shape here.
Just in time for summer...
Much love to you and yours this week.
